Homes should provide stability, dignity and the confidence to put down roots.
Rooted in community · Building our future
Jahaji is building a new housing co-operative in London, bringing people together to create secure, affordable and sustainable homes.
Jahaji does not currently have homes available. Registering your interest does not create membership, priority or entitlement to housing.

Why Jahaji
We want a different relationship with housing—one built on security, belonging and shared responsibility.
We are not a property sales platform and we are not currently allocating homes. We are building the co-operative first: its people, principles and partnerships, while we look for an appropriate first opportunity in London.
The name Jahaji speaks to bonds formed through a shared journey. It gives us a way to think about home not as something we pursue alone, but something we can shape and steward together.
Our foundations
Clear enough to guide us.
Open enough to grow with us.
Homes should provide stability, dignity and the confidence to put down roots.
Housing should serve the people who live in it—not short-term speculation.
Residents should have a meaningful voice and share responsibility for their community.
Our homes should be thoughtful, low-impact and designed for the long term.
Our first opportunity
Our legal, ownership and funding structure remains open while we learn what will make the first project viable and genuinely co-operative.
How we see it
Build the community before the building.
Our first project may involve a development partner, a Registered Provider, public funding or community-led ownership. The structure is still being explored; the purpose is already clear.
Get involved
We would like to hear from people who support community-led housing, may want to explore future co-operative membership, can contribute useful skills, or simply want to follow our progress.
This is an expression of interest only. It is not an application for housing and does not create membership, priority or entitlement to a future home.
